How does Microblading with Shading Work?
Microblading with shading uses semi-permanent medical-grade ink to add extra emphasis to your eyebrows. We add individual hair strokes for a completely natural look. Unlike tattooed eyebrows, you won’t end up with a thick line that looks like you applied it with a sharpie pen.
We typically apply hair strokes at the front and top of the brow line, so it looks softer and natural. This works well for people who have overplucked their brows and have patchy hair loss as a result. When done well, microblading with shading adds extra definition and improves the shape of your eyebrows. It can also be used to cover visible scars in that area.
The shading part of the Combo Brow is an additional treatment used in conjunction with microblading. We can adjust the pigments used to create a subtle shaded look. For example, if you want your eyebrows darker at the back and lighter at the front, shading can achieve this. Although your brows will initially appear darker, as they heal, the colour will lighten by up to 40%. This gives your eyebrows a more natural appearance.
How Long Does a Microblading with Shading Treatment Take?
A microblading with shading treatment normally takes around 2/2.5 hours. However, this will depend on the state of your eyebrows, so we will be able to give you a more accurate estimate at the initial consultation.
How Long do Combo Brow Results Last?
A Combo Brow is a semi-permanent treatment, so it doesn’t last forever. Over time, the pigments will be broken down by the body and your brows will fade. However, depending on your skin type, you can expect the pigment to remain for up to four years. To keep your brows in optimum condition, we recommend you have a colour boost every year.
